Meet the Doctor
Bio

Dr. Christopher Reid’s journey into medicine began in 1991 when he made the decision to leave a successful career in electrical engineering to pursue his passion for healthcare. He attended East Carolina University School of Medicine, where he graduated with high honors in 1997.

Following medical school, Dr. Reid moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, where he spent six years at the University of Virginia completing his residency in Internal Medicine, serving as Chief Resident, and completing a fellowship in Nephrology. His time at UVA shaped his dedication to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

In 2003, Dr. Reid chose Florida’s Panhandle as his home, drawn by the opportunity to practice medicine in a welcoming community while being closer to family. He joined Renalus Center for Kidney Care, where he has played a pivotal role in expanding nephrology services throughout the Panhandle and southern Alabama. His philosophy of care is simple yet profound—treat every patient with the same respect and compassion he would give to his own family.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Reid remains committed to delivering high-quality kidney care to his patients. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, sailing, fishing, and relaxing at the beach. His dedication to both his patients and personal passions makes him an integral part of the Renalus team and the community he serves.
