Bio
Scott Thomas began a career in restaurant management, but a deeply personal experience—managing his mother’s long-term care—awakened a long-standing calling to healthcare. Inspired by that journey, he pursued nursing and began his medical career in 2008 as a registered nurse in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Emergency Department. Scott honed his skills in critical care at the Cincinnati VA Hospital before earning his Nurse Practitioner license in 2012 and returning to the University of Cincinnati ED as a full-time NP under the mentorship of attending physicians.
In 2016, the opportunity to join Baptist Hospital—and the allure of the beach—brought Scott and his family from Cincinnati to Pensacola. In 2021, he was honored to join the Renalus team, where he has found not only a workplace but a supportive and affirming professional family. Scott is licensed to practice in Florida, and is board certified with the America Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Outside of work, he enjoys running, spending time with his family, relaxing at the beach, and being outdoors. He is passionate about making a lasting impact on community health through both direct patient care and ongoing education.
