Bio

Allison Edwards believes that healthcare should be personalized to meet each patient’s unique medical needs. With a strong emphasis on patient education and shared decision-making, she strives to create a collaborative approach to care—one that takes into account the values, preferences, and priorities that matter most to her patients. She is dedicated to ensuring that those she treats feel heard, informed, and empowered to take an active role in their health.

Her journey in nursing began in New Orleans, where she attended college at Louisiana State University, and launched her nursing career. The city holds a special place in her heart, and is the inspiration behind the names of her two beloved French Bulldogs, Saint and Roux. She then obtained her Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama. Allison is board certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and is licensed to practice in Florida.

When she is not caring for patients at the hospital or dialysis units, Allison is a devoted mother who can often be found cheering from the sidelines of the soccer field, supporting her two children. She values family, connection, and balance, bringing the same level of dedication to her personal life as she does to her work in nephrology.
