Bio

Dr. Humam Humeda is a board-certified nephrologist and internist, and a founding physician of the Renalus Center for Kidney Care—formerly Pensacola Nephrology, P.A.—where he has delivered exceptional kidney care to the Gulf Coast community since 1999. Known for his warm laugh, friendly smile, and patient-first approach, Dr. Humeda brings both clinical excellence and genuine compassion to his practice.

Dr. Humeda completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his internal medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in New York. His diverse experience includes serving as an emergency medicine physician at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Alabama, which helped shape his broad expertise in both acute and chronic care management.

He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology and holds medical licenses in Florida and Alabama. In addition to patient care, Dr. Humeda serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University, helping mentor and educate the next generation of healthcare professionals. He is also a proud member of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).

Dr. Humeda’s leadership in the medical community includes past service as Chief of Staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. He has also contributed his insights to multiple hospital committees focused on critical care, peer review, and pharmacy. He is licensed to practice in Florida and Alabama.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Humeda enjoys reading, music, tennis, and swimming. His dedication, leadership, and character continue to make a profound impact on his patients, colleagues, and the field of nephrology.
